The opposite sign Leo, the color yellow, is the sign of the “serpent,” the secret force of the law of suggestion. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the spiritual sensation encouraged by the power of suggestion, the element that encourages the fire of Leo to burn brightly.

When the solar radiant energy or electric vital life force of the Sun (Leo — humanity consciousness) is united with the air to the cosmic mental energy, our self-love energy of the heart is transformed into full awareness. We become an expression of the Universal Mind, as the feeling of the Brotherhood of Mankind, the suggestion that unites us all as One.

True merging with the higher self can not take place without the purging of the separative quality of the ego (Leo) at the unconscious level of the mind. For the ego to transform and loosen its grip, it must encourage the fiery nature to express itself through love.

Spiritual love is a heart issue — not understood by the intellect. It takes a psychochemical change to make the shift. It is brought about through the sensations we become as we live life taste, and suggesting by the affections we accumulate by expressing love.
